Vibration caused plug to back out.
Use Description
Hydraulic equipment is used to secure dies and fixtures in place in press (metal stamping) work. Vibration caused SAE plugs to back out of the ports in the hydraulic cylinder. The fluid leaked on the equipment, floor and finished product causing down time, clean up and less than perfect finished product. This increased clean up time and lowered production output.
Solution
The older SAE O-ring only stlye of plugs was removed and the multiple seal Zero-Leak Gold Plugs were installed.
Results
No ZLGP back out, no more fluid leaks, with labor cost reductions and productivity improvement.
